Pastor Kevin Martin is an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International and has held license in good standing since 1992. Pastor Martin left behind a fourteen-year profession as Electronics Telecommunications Specialist with the Natural Gas Pipeline Company in 1995. Bro. Martin pastored the United Pentecostal Church of Cooper, Texas for six years and served as a Sectional Youth Director for two years. While in Cooper he also was employed by Christus St. Joseph's Hospice as Hospice Chaplain. Rev. Martin resigned the church in Cooper, Texas to fulfill his burden to start a church in the Humble/Atascocita community. Since he has been in Atascocita, Pastor Martin has served four years as a Sectional Sunday School/Children's Ministry Director. He is presently serving as Sectional Global Missions Director and Editor of STX UPCI Vision Magazine.
Bro. Martin has been a guest speaker at youth and kids camps of the United Pentecostal Church. He also speaks, as a Licensed Christian Counselor for Marriage & Family seminars.
Rev. Martin's qualifications are as follows: Masters Degree in Clinical Christian Counseling; Minor in Christian Education; Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor; N.C.C.A. Board Certified Marriage & Family Therapist; and Certified Temperament Counselor.
Pastor Martin has been actively involved in the ministry since 1990.
Rev. Martin also loves the music ministry and is a vital part of the music ministry team at Atascocita. The Pentecostals of Atascocita are blessed to have a leader that holds a diversity of talents to meet the needs of every age group.
Pastor Martin and wife, Janetha were married in Houston, Texas in 1982 and have two sons, Braxton and Trenton. They have dedicated their lives to the ministry. Their ministry focuses on anointed preaching and singing, salvation, healing, deliverance and restoration of broken lives.
